It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast!

Smartiekats Preschool we do accept children at age 3.5 to get a head start in preschool. For prekindergarten, children must turn four (4) on or before September 1 to be eligible.

Under Georgia state law, children must turn five (5) on or before September 1 in order to enroll in kindergarten. 

Preschool tends to fill up quickly, so it's best to start as soon as possible.

We have a 10-month school year (Aug.-May) and a 1-month summer camp (June). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.

Yes! We will follow the Henry County school district calendar. Including weather closing and emergencies.

Our closing days:

Labor Day, Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Teacher Trainings/Workdays, Winter Break, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4th- July 31st. 

Preschool classes are for children who are ages 3.5-5 (and "independent almost-4-year-olds") by Sep. 1. Summer camp is for children who are ages 3.5-6 by June 1.

Yes! Smartiekats Preschool will schedule two parent – teacher conferences during the school year. Month of Nov/Dec and Apr/May. Parents are encouraged to sign up for the 15-minute conference to hear about your child’s progress.

Yes.  If you have any questions about whether or not your child is ready, feel free to give us a call.  We even have a “How To Potty Train” your child handout we can give you.  It’s helped many preschool moms quickly potty train their kids. Your child is expected to be able to take care of self-help tasks such as dressing, undressing, and toilet needs. Children should be potty trained prior to entering Pre-K. Any questions we’re here to help!

Our philosophy is to be a preschool where children can begin their journey of learning in a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment where learning can be fun and motivating. The key is to make sure all activities are educational and help children to progress in their academic, social, cognitive, physical and emotional development.  Each child is personal at its best when it comes to a safe and caring learning environment in which they are free to express their opinions and mature into responsible adults within society. Assisting a child in their journey and providing them with guidance along the way. Smartiekats is passionate about working with your child and ensuring that their development for every child is effective according to their needs. Every child is unique and not one size fits all. If you don’t imagine, nothing ever happens at all.

No.  Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program.  Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips, events or activities. *Field trips are paid for by the school, including lunch, t-shirt for trips.

No worries.  Several of our students have food intolerances or severe allergies.  We ask these families to bring in their own bagged lunch and snacks, and we create nut-free classrooms any time a child’s allergy is severe enough to require an epi pen.

There is a form to fill out to withdrawal from the Preschool program. Please give thirty days or a weeks notice. The monthly tuition price is a reflection of the yearly tuition divided into convenient monthly payments for parents, so the monthly fee remains the same, regardless of holidays. There are no refunds or prorated months.

We use the Kaplan curriculum. The curriculum along with using the GELDS standards the Kaplan activities incorporate literacy, math, science, social studies, and the creative arts in ways that will enable your child to Learn Every Day!

We have the smallest class sizes in town so your child gets lots of 1-on-1 time. We only have 6-12 students per class.

I have 2:12 ratio, even though GA requires 1:12.

Registration fee is due in advance. Tuition is due within seven days before class starts. Then monthly charges will be automatically taken out until canceled. 

When registering online for online programs we only use stripe for payments. Call to register if not using stripe payment or email we will help you get registered.

Local preschool must register in person but we also register homeschool/enrichment programs can also register in person.
